LUNCH at the Tasting Room
With the famed Hitching Post 2 Restaurant located next door
(open for
dinner), doing lunch at the tasting room was a natural fit. Now you can
enjoy HP2 food along with Hitching Post wines right at the tasting
room. Sit
down in our rustic, charming outdoor venue that overlooks the
beautiful Santa Ynez Valley and mountains or our comfy indoor Garden
Room with a pot belly stove, while sipping HP wine and dining on
fabulous HP food. 
The menu has open-fire, red oak wood offerings like Santa Maria style barbecue, oak-grilled artichokes, grilled Texas quail,
the best burgers ever, triple fried French fries and other wine-friendly, hot nibbles come from the popular Hitching Post 2, also on the 12-acre property.
To keep the food orders piping hot, they're delivered to the
tasting
room via tricycle or a three wheeled electric cart from next door HP2.
Some days, guests may even catch a glimpse of the ebullient owner Frank
Ostini in his signature pith helmet personally pushing the pedals.

Relax and unwind with wine by the glass and hot Hitching Post
appetizers while sitting outside watching the sunset, enjoying the view
of the ostriches next door, or indoors next to the potbelly stove in
the Garden Room. Fridays and Saturdays often have live music.
It’s the perfect setting for get-togethers, meet-ups, or an
informal, small plates nosh. A great way to start the evening before
dining at the Hitching Post 2 restaurant.
