VISIT

Rustic. Scenic. Welcoming. Situated on nearly twelve acres of land punctuated by ancient oaks is the Hitching Post Tasting Room. A charming, 2,000 square foot, mid-century farmhouse, thoughtfully refurbished, serves as the main indoor tasting room with three private alcoves for an intimate experience. The house is surrounded by trailing walkways landscaped with native plants that lead to ample outdoor seating areas that bank a panoramic, pastoral view of the valley and Santa Ynez Mountains. An outdoor wine bar adds to the relaxed, convivial ambiance along with a personable, knowledgeable staff.

Wednesday - Sunday 11:30 am - 5:00 pm (last tasting 4:15pm); Closed Monday & Tuesday. 

Walk-ins are welcome or make reservations using our app. For groups of eight or more, please make reservations. Well behaved dogs on leash welcomed.

TASTING FLIGHTS  

Whites & Pinks Flight

An exciting, innovative flight of five white and pink wines that range from still, sparkled to pet nat. Wines are often crafted from lesser known varietals. Kick it up a notch and take your tasting outdoors and match with a Hitching Post hot-off-the-grill lunch, or relax under the oaks while gazing at the view. $25

Traditional Flight

Our most popular tasting, this is a guided flight of five classic, crowd-favorite wines. Our good-natured, wine knowledgeable staff tailors the experience to the group, and can give as detailed explanation on the wines, history and winemaking process, as requested.  $30

Reserve Wines Flight

A deeper dive into the wines of Hitching Post. This is a guided flight of five wines, primarily Pinot Noir, featuring rare, single-vineyard bottlings and special older vintages. Many of these limited edition wines are available at the tasting room only! Have a great conversation and get the details and stories from one of our personable, knowledgeable wine staff.  $35

VIP Private Tasting with Winemaker 

For those seeking the ultimate experience, this customized tasting of at least five special, top-notch wines and paired with an artisan cheese and charcuterie plate is a rare opportunity. One of our legendary winemakers, Frank Ostini, Gray Hartley, or Weston Hartley, will guide you through the wines and provide insight and whimsical wine stories.

$75 per guest. 90 min-2 hours. By advanced appointment only   at least one month suggested. We will try to accommodate you request as best
